Puppet Club
We endeavour to run a regular puppet club as often as we can. The club aims to introduce different types of puppetry and multimedia, to develop craft and performance skills, creativity and imagination.
The first Funny Wonders puppet club formed in the mid-1990s as a Saturday morning, make-things-round-at-Chris-and-Doug's club. Many of these original participants have gone on to have creative careers. Read more about them here.
In more recent years, we have run after-school clubs at Buxton Infants School and The Green Man Gallery. Participants have joined us for the Buxton Carnival parade and performed in the Buxton Puppet Festival.

In summer 2015, we set up a new Saturday morning puppet club at The Green Man Gallery with funding from The Bingham Trust. It ran approximately every two weeks.
Since 2017, our puppet club is now running as an after-school club on Tuesdays from 3.30pm-5pm as part of our 'Changing Faces' project to support young people aged 11-18yrs in Buxton who face difficulties.
